All that we see and seem…
It’s no secret that dreams can (and do) hold meaning. Freud used his expertise in human psychology and how the brain works and developed symbolism that is now widely used and accepted as a foundation in dream symbology.
This is where I feel my own intuitive “knowings” began. I remember discussing dreams we’d had with my mom and sisters. The ability to connect with Spirit through dreams is often passed through generations. Years ago, a friend did a research project on dreams and number symbolism and as we discussed it, she gave me a copy. It held the validation I needed. My dreams MEANT something (I just knew it!). From there, my connection to Spirit only strengthened. This awareness was my Spirit Team’s first line of communication…that I listened to.
Many years later, I was pregnant and expecting my first child. Wanting to begin a name tradition for my little family, I was searching for baby names that had the same initials as both me and his father, BEM. All the boy “B” names were claimed in my family and the rest I’d associated with past students since I was an elementary teacher at the time. My mom joked that I should name him Beavis, ha! (no offense intended) Shortly after I’d discovered we were having a boy, my dreams became very intense. This is not uncommon for pregnant women as it turns out. One night, after searching for names high and low, my son came to me in a dream. I remember so vividly his voice saying “My name is ELIJAH!!!!” I woke up in disbelief. That’s the name. It doesn’t fit the initials, but that’s his name. He said so.
Yes, that is what we named him.
It doesn’t even stop there. This name has led me to having a deep connection with Archangel Sandalphon, who was the Prophet Elijah in human form. I was visited by this being as I was going through divorce, feeling so hopeless and frustrated with where I was in life. He showed me a vision of angel wings with small letters hanging beneath it. The letters were to hold my requests to the Divine. I later learned that this is one of Archangel Sandalphon’s specialties: delivering our prayers to Spirit. When I moved into my apartment, I created this exact thing as I felt such a strong pull to do so. Green letters hold my prayers of gratitude and the blue are my requests for Divine assistance.
It all started with a dream.
